Praise God!!! E.W. Arvidson, who has been at the UM Hospital and subsequently at MD General Hospital for the past few months, came home on Monday, August 4th. A miracle of the Lord was witnessed by all of his friends and loved ones since his initial hospitalization over 3 months ago. There were a couple times when his condition seemed grim, but through all of the prayers said on his behalf, the Lord brought E home to is family. In fact, he attended his teams' game on Aug. 5th. The game was dedicated to him and the team was very happy to bring home a win for E.W. His family wishes to thank all of you who prayed for him, who helped his family out during E's stay in the hospital and for the strenght the Lord gave those who knew E.W. to make it through his ordeal.

THANK YOU to everyone who made the sports dinner possible. A great night of fellowship with all teams. Scott McGregor and Luke Scott were great. THANK GOD for a night like this. We should all be proud for a league that steps up for Jesus Christ to make him known.

My son, Christian, was burned by a hot cup of coffee on 6/29. He tried to take a drink (from a cup that was left sit out) and thankfully, he missed his mouth, but he poured it on himself.

He has 2nd degree burns on his chest and stomach and a 3rd degree burn at his diaper line (he is 20 months old).

He is currently in the burn unit of the Mercy Children's hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.

Jack Finniff is a member of the Otterbein softball team and was one of the injured men in the accident this past Wednesday on Rt.66/I 70. Jack suffered a broken pelvis, broken femur, broken arm, cracked ribs, and collapsed lung. He had 9 hours of surgery yesterday to put plates in his pelvis and femur. They are doing surgery on his arm today. Please keep Jack and his family in your prayers. He is doing well, but has a long road ahead of him!
